What We Do
We exist to rescue Great Pyrenees from animal control facilities in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex as space in our foster homes is available.
Our Mission
We consist of all volunteers, who generously give their time, talents, and homes (for fostering) to this cause.
Our volunteer heroes will:
Foster dogs in their home
Evaluate dogs in shelters
Transport dogs from shelters to veterinarians and foster homes
Visit potential adopters
Take our adoptable dogs to public events
Educate people about the Great Pyrenees breed

A New Beginning for Every Rescued Pyr
Each Pyr that we rescue is treated with complete veterinary care, including heartworm testing plus ongoing prevention or treatment, spay/neuter surgery, and annual vaccinations. Our foster families evaluate the personality of each dog and we take every precaution to ensure the right dog is placed in the right home. We try to facilitate adoptions that will last for the life of the animal and provide many “Happy Tails” for the dog AND the family!
Saving Pyrs In Need (SPIN) Rescue is an IRS-designated 501(c)(3) non-profit tax-exempt organization, so your donations are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law. We do not have an expensive facility to maintain nor do we have any paid staff, so all donations go directly to the care of the dogs we rescue. Every contribution is greatly appreciated and helps save another Great Pyrenees in need.
